International Trophy for Pre 66 GT Cars

A capacity 57-car grid lined up for the 50 minute race which started in the early evening as the sun was beginning to go down. 

The Jaguar E-Type of Julian Thomas and Calum Lockie qualified 4th and looked set to improve on this position and even challenge for the lead. A drive through penalty for overtaking under yellow flags meant the pair would finish as the 1st place E-Type and 6th overall.

Meanwhile the Austin Healey 3000 driven by Nils-Fredrick Nyblaeus and co-driver Jeremy Welch fought a strong race against a number of much faster cars including an Aston Martin to take second in the C2 class.

RAC Tourist Trophy for Pre 63 GT Cars

The RAC Tourist Trophy for Historic Cars saw a mixed grid of pre 63 GT cars including the Austin Healey 3000 of Karsten Le Blanc supported by co-driver Nigel Greensall.

The 50 minute pit stop race saw Greensall start from 7th on the grid and climb up to 5th before the driver change. Le Blanc then took over and drove to 8th place overall and 2nd in class. The car was comfortably the highest placed Austin Healey and finished ahead of a number of more powerful cars including Jaguar E-Types.

RAC Woodcote Trophy

The RAC Woodcote Trophy saw 4 Denis Welch Motorsport cars competing. Karsten Le Blanc having just competed in the Tourist Trophy race, swapped into his Austin Healey 100S, taking 15th place and 2nd placed Austin Healey.

Other competitors in the race included Nils-Fredrick Nyblaeus in his Austin Healey 100M, the Austin Healey 100 of Oliver Harris and Richard Knight and the 100M of Tarek Mahmoud all of whom put in good performances.
