During the 1st race Rossi looked to be onto a race victory but a last lap mishap lost him the lead and he was pipped to first place by Pierre Tonetti, finishing just 02.56 seconds behind. Pangborn, who started 8th came home in 4th place, 23 seconds behind the winner. Race 2 saw rain, Rossi set out on a charge and totally dominated the race. Victory was a comfortable 22.5 seconds ahead of the second place car, the Lotus 20 of Bruno Weibel. Pangborn finished in 5th.
The aggregate of the two race results sees Rossi in 1st and Pangborn 3rd for the meeting, a fantastic result and a great start to the 2016 campaign. The next round will be at Pau on 21st/22nd May.
