Velodromloppet Historic Grand Prix in Karlskoga Sweden took place on the 16th June 2013. On a beautiful summers day many motorsport and historic racing fans met to witness this amazing race.
It is worth remembering, that the Velodromloppet Grand Prix was run in 2013 in the 16th consecutive year on the Karlskoga Motor Circuit and has been re-established after having paused a couple decades after a serious race accident in the sixties when it was hosting a formula one race.
The event is now run every year by the Swedish Historic Racing Club. This year there has been a record breaking 210 cars from all the Nordic countries lined up on the start line!
Congratulations!
Denis Welch Motorsport would like to congratulate Nils-Fredrik Nyblaeus with his excellent performance in the Historic Grand Prix in Karlskoga. In the GT/GTS-65 race, with around 20 starting cars, Nils-Fredrik finished 3rd overall behind a Jaguar E-type Lightweight and a Lotus Elan, 2nd in class and first Healey home. It was a fantastic race which started with a slow start from 6th position on the grid, immediately dropping him to 9th place - so he had to work himself up to 3rd! In race 2 he took 4th overall behind a Jaguar E-type Lightweight and two Ford GT40s.
After racing many times at the circuit in his Austin-Healey 100M the amazing result in Karlskoga was achieved by Nils-Fredrik in his newly acquired Austin-Healey 3000.
Denis Welch Motorsport is proud to assist and support Nils-Fredrik in race preparation and transportation for both of his Austin-Healeys. We would like to wish him a further amazing result!
