It was a blisteringly hot weekend, but with afternoon showers the track temperature could only build up to 47°C, far less than the 60+°C normally associated with the racing at Sepang. However, it did not detract from the racing as an array of TVR, Porsche, BMW, Ford Lotus, Toyota, Mini, Jagua, Alfa Romeo and Honda lined the grid.

Congratulations to Michael Ricks and Paul Winkelmann in their TVRs who came first and second in the first race, and went on to reverse their finishing positions in the final race of the season.

Jeremy Welch took the 12 hour flight out to visit Denis Welch Motorsport new clients Michael and Paul who put on a great display in their 1970s TVRs. These two TVRs are now being shipped back to the UK to be rebuilt by Denis Welch Motorsport along with a Jaguar E-Type, Chevrolet Corvette and a Toyota MR2.
