The book covers the complete history of the car as the BMC Works entry in the 1960 Sebring 12 hours and Le Mans 24 hours, where it ran with its original registration UJB 143, the privateer entry with Ecurie Chiltern at Le Mans in 1961 and 1962 and the John Chatham years in which he competed in DD 300 regularly for four decades in sprints, modsports and historic events.
The story continues to the present day. Now owned by Karsten Le Blanc and Christiaen van Lanschot, DD 300 has competed at major events including the Spa Six Hours, Le Mans Classic and the Goodwood Revival, fully supported by Denis Welch Motorsport.
The fascinating story of DD 300 is all covered in this 96 page, hardback book, complete with a superb selection of period photographs as well as new studio shots.
