The FIA Lurani Trophy for Formula Junior cars formed part of the 63rd Coppa Intereuropa meeting at Monza on 18th-19th June. The Denis Welch Motorsport powered Lotus 22 of Manfredo Rossi Di Montelera took 1st in Race One and Second in Race Two. His combined result for the two rounds saw him lose out on 1st place by just 0.078 seconds.
Car 89, the Lotus 20B of Mark Pangborn also put in a strong performance over the meeting with an combined result of 4th following 7th place in Race 1 and 3rd in Race 2.
The next round of the Lurani Trophy will be 12th-14th August at the Nurburgring Oldtimer GP event.
