The Legends of Brands Hatch Superprix race meeting took place on 1st-3rd July and included a round of the GT and Sports Car Cup, the third of the 2016 season. The 50 minute race was held on the 2.43 mile Grand prix circuit resulting in plenty of great racing.
The Denis Welch Motorsport team ran 4 cars, including a trio of Austin Healey's. Car 53, KVS 484, driven by Jeremy Welch and Martyn Corfield started third and drove a superb race to take first in the GT3 class and second position overall ahead of a number of more powerful cars including a Jaguar E-Type and a pair of Porsche 911's.

Welch also claimed 5th overall having co-driven with Nils-Fredrik Nyblaeus in his Austin Healey 3000, YOP 999. The Austin Healey 3000, TSU 680, of Tony Worthington and Mark Midgely finished in 10th place.
Managing Director, Jeremy Welch said “It was hard work,” after racing for most of the 50 minutes. “I was driving the second car as quick as I could”.
Overall a great meeting for the team who now move onto the Le Mans Classic next weekend.
