Our weekend kicks off with the Masters Gentlemen Drivers race where the very best of pre-66 GT cars will be on display. Jaguar E-type 5303 VB and Austin Healey 3000 YOP 999 will both be competing on the Saturday. Julian Thomas will be joined by co-driver Calum Lockie in 5303 VB whilst Nils Nyblaeus will race alongside Jeremy Welch in YOP 999.
There will be an hour long race for the FIA Masters Historic Sports Car Championship on Sunday, with the 35 minute qualifying round taking place the day before. Le Mans-style sports cars and Group 4 period cars from 1962 up to 1974 will all be eligible to compete. Julian and co-driver Calum will be driving Julian’s Chevron B8, an iconic sports car that has a powerful BMW engine.
Julian will be driving his Ford Falcon with Calum in the Masters Pre-66 Touring Cars race. The Falcon will take to the circuit on Saturday for a 30 minute qualifying round and will be competing in a hour long race the day after. The Falcon has a powerful 4.7 litre Ford V8 engine and can produce in excess of 420BHP.
