The third Castle Combe Autumn Classic got off to a great start and this year there were yet more classic cars on display, fuller grids and bigger crowds. The racing was something else to witness and the International Big Healey Challenge in particular for us, supporting six Austin-Healey's!
As every year, the Spa Six Hour meeting 2014 was held at the 4.352 mile, 20-turn Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. The 22nd edition of this famous racing event featured classic vehicles in 16 different races. Over the busy 3 day weekend the Denis Welch Motorsport Team supported nine cars in ten races with fourteen drivers!
The period clothing, music, classically-styled shops and most important of all - highly competitive racing - saw a crowd of motorsport enthusiasts gather for the Goodwood 2014 Revival in West Sussex.
An impressive crowd of 110,000 spectators enjoyed the 7th Le Mans Classic held in the south of Le Mans and Mulsanne
in the Sarthe region in France.
As expected, the high-class competition at Brands Hatch was action packed from the drop of the flag on Saturday to the final chequer on Sunday (28th-29th June 2014). Eleven races within two busy days and every one saw spectacular cars and drivers who created memorable battles on both the Indy and Grand Prix circuits.
Congratulations to Jeremy and Denis Welch for an outstanding result achieved last weekend on the demanding ‘300’ Snetterton Circuit, 2nd overall and 1st in Class!
The mixed weather and challenging racing conditions made for an interesting Bank Holiday weekend at the Brands Hatch Circuit. Denis Welch Motorsport supported two teams in the Gentlemen Drivers Pre-66 GT Races - Galal Mahmoud/Nigel Greensall in the Jaguar E-type and Nils-Fredrik Nyblaeus with Jeremy Welch in the Austin-Healey 3000.
