For many years, we have consistently evaluated parts performance to develop race-bred solutions. In our long experience, many parts fail in competition for a variety of reasons. At Denis Welch Motorsport we have taken a pro-active attitude towards these problems and re-engineered products to enable superior performance to the original part.

For example, many years ago when Healeys were being
re-introduced to classic racing, fan belts were becoming shredded at an alarming rate. This caused many embarrassing retirements and the problem was traced to water pump cavitation – an unwelcome by-product of high revving engines. Once diagnosed, the solution was to develop a deep ‘v-pulley’ system with reinforced belts.
This is now a standard engine improvement available to all, but it demonstrates the way in which our problem-analysis, redesign-manufacture process is used to improve the breed without loosing the essential character of the car.

Controlling quality
In order to guarantee this, it is our policy is to control the quality of as many aspects of our product and service as possible. This is why we have developed a self-sufficient engineering and parts manufacturing facility which is second to none, especially in the high-performance field.( See parts manufacture page)
