For Sale - Austin Healey 3000 MkII

Full race Competition GT Car FIA Class GTS 12 period F ’62-‘65 with up to date HTP papers.

Imported from the USA into Belgium, and then purchased by the current owner in 1991.

The car was then completely rebuilt and restored to a full FIA spec race car, competing in race seasons over the following 18 years.

Build History

1991-93 – Complete engine rebuild by LB Racing, Holland and the introduction of its first competition gearbox/overdrive, built by Hardy.
1995 - Complete new engine, gearbox/overdrive and LS diff from Denis Welch Motorsport (resulting in the owner winning the Healey fastest lap record for that season and becoming the Dutch champion in 1996).

Denis Welch Motorsport have completely rebuilt the engine twice and since the last rebuild the Healey has only competed in one race, the Euromeet all Healey race in Sweden and placed 2nd. The last time the car was on track was in 2010 when it took part in a demo at the Goodwood revival.
Since finishing racing the car has been stored in a private central heated workshop.

The car has never been involved in a serious race accident and overall is in very good condition to make concourse for a race car.
