Non Overdrive "E" Type Gearbox build by ourselves with our straight cut close ratio gears, Heavy duty mainshaft, Steel syncro rings, new selector hubs etc.
All parts brand new except centre case and lid.

STRAIGHT CUT GEAR SET
Manufactured especially for us these incredibly strong gears have the same ratios as the original close ratio E type gears, see the attachment below for a ratio chart. The set comprises of all gears including reverse, all brand new manufacture. They will fit directly into any 4.2 all syncromesh overdrive or non-overdrive gearbox using all the original type bearings and syncros, etc with no modifications or machining.

4.2 NON OVERDRIVE HEAVY DUTY MAIN SHAFT
Heavy Duty Brand new item, reproduced as the original with hob and ground splines for a quality fit. Incorporating a reduced diameter oil hole gun drilled in the centre in order to increase the strength of the spigot end.
4.2 SELECTOR HUB ASSEMBLY
Brand new item, suitable for 1st/2nd & 3rd/4th these are the later design with the under cut to help prevent jumping out of gear.
4.2 BELLHOUSING
Made from our own pattern equipment these are cast in LM25 and heat treated to TF which is a far superior grade of aluminium than the original. These are then totally CNC machined, this not only means they are considerably stronger than the original and far more accurate on the alignment. There is a choice between the original clutch release fork mechanism or a solid pad in the centre to accept your own co-axial release mechanism. Also the choice of the original large starter dog housing (for the original starter) or our slim line design (when using our modern pre-engaged starter) which helps to make it possible to remove the gearbox from the car leaving the engine in place. Fits any 4.2 all synchro gearbox with either 3.8 or 4.2 engine.

STEEL BAULK RINGS
Considerably stronger than the original brass baulk rings these steel rings will resist cracking, breakage and wearing out to a much greater degree. Designed mainly for racing these may require routine servicing every couple of seasons. They fit to the original or our straight cut gears with no other modifications. Fits any 4.2 all synchro gear box.
